ONE-OFF PRINTS
STUDY IN A DIFFERENT TECHNIQUE: HAND-CUT STENCILS, MULTI-LAYER REGISTRATION, FOUND- FABRIC SUBSTRATES, AND SPRAYPAINT.
GPA needed to feel like the present, not the past. The company had outgrown an older, utilitarian mark and wanted an identity that read as contemporary technology without losing its industrial credibility. The system answers with a gradient logo — color used as motion, signaling continuous processing — anchored against a tight, geometric letter construction. The gradient is the constant; everything else is its frame.
From the mark outward: a full system of social templates, a marketing website, an iconography set, a custom type pairing, and a small line of branded apparel for the team and trade-show floor.

Most prints begin off the press — pencil, marker, photograph, cut paper. The image-making sits as far from the screen as possible before it has to commit.

The technique decides the screen: a hand-cut stencil for hard edges, photo emulsion when the source needs to keep its tonal range, paper resist for the looser pieces.

The squeegee is where the design stops being a design and starts being a thing. Pressure, angle, ink load — each variable visible in the final pull.

Each piece is scanned in digitally to show the final product. They are accompanied by close-ups of the prints themselves.
